How do I sign up?
Visit our Classes page to explore the programs we offer. Registration can be completed online through our website or in person at the gym. If you have questions, our team is happy to help you choose the right class for your child.
What ages do you serve?
Tumble Joy offers movement classes for children of all ages—from toddlers to elementary-aged kids. Each class is designed to be developmentally appropriate, ensuring children feel supported and confident as they grow.
What’s the best age to start?
Our philosophy is “the sooner, the better—and it’s never too late.” Early exposure to movement helps children build confidence, coordination, and body awareness from a young age. That said, children can start at any age and still benefit greatly from our programs.
What should my child wear to class?
Children should wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing that allows them to stretch, jump, and tumble safely. Bare feet are recommended for most classes unless otherwise noted. Please avoid clothing with zippers, buttons, or accessories that could interfere with movement.
Do parents stay during class?
Parent participation depends on the class:
- Tiny Tumblers (1–3 years): One parent or caregiver participates with the child
- Preschool Movers and older classes: Children participate independently, but a parent or guardian must remain on-site at all times
How often should my child attend classes?
Consistency is key. Weekly attendance helps children feel comfortable, build skills, and progress more confidently. Some children benefit from attending multiple times per week, especially if they are new to structured movement.
Do class packages expire?
Yes. Class packages have expiration periods to encourage consistent attendance:
- Single class: expires 30 days after purchase
- 4-class package: expires 60 days after purchase
- 8-class package: expires 90 days after purchase
Please plan your schedule accordingly.
What will my child learn in a class?
Progress varies by child. Our goal is to help every child improve each week by building:
- Confidence and independence
- Balance, coordination, and strength
- Listening skills and focus
- Positive movement habits
Like any physical activity, progress comes with time, patience, and practice.
What if my child is shy or hesitant?
That’s completely normal! Our instructors are experienced in working with children of all personalities and comfort levels. We use positive reinforcement, encouragement, and gentle guidance to help children feel safe and confident. Most children warm up quickly once they feel supported.
What happens if I miss a class?
Please schedule classes at times you can reliably attend. Missed classes are not refundable. One makeup class per package may be allowed with proper notice (see below), subject to availability.
Can I reschedule a class?
One (1) class per package may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Makeup classes are based on availability and must be completed within the designated timeframe.
What if I miss the 48-hour notice window?
If a class is canceled without proper notice, it is forfeited. Makeup classes are not guaranteed and may only be offered if space becomes available.
Can I drop my child off and leave?
No. For safety reasons, children may not be dropped off. A parent or guardian must remain on-site during the class at all times.
What if my child isn’t feeling well?
For the health and safety of everyone, please do not attend class if your child is feeling unwell. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community healthy.
Do you offer year-round classes?
Yes! Tumble Joy offers classes year-round. Regular participation helps children maintain confidence, strength, and familiarity with movement skills. Long breaks may result in children needing extra time to regain comfort and confidence.
